Barbara Hartman passed along your questions about how to identify 9/12 and 10/12 appointments from the 12/12. The E-Class on the Employee Jobs Form (NBAJOBS) distinguishes whether the job is 9/12, 10/12, <9, or 12 months. Two other NBAJOBS fields that may be useful are the Factor and Pays fields. The Factor field is where we enter the number of service periods (for Monthly paid employees, this typically defaults to 12 but may be overridden to reflect 9 or 10 as necessary). And the Pays field is where we enter the number of pay periods during which the employee will be paid for services rendered (again, for Monthly paid employees, this typically defaults to 12 but may be overridden). The overarching E-Class found on the Employee Form (PEAEMPL) is the E-Class that drives benefits and leave eligibility. It is a subjective value determined using the E-Classes on all of the jobs that the employee holds. April
